The California Assembly voted 71 to 5 Monday to approve Senate Bill 780, legislation by state Sen. Pat Wiggins, D-Santa Rosa, to continue funding for affordable, reliable telephone service for Californians living in high-cost or rural areas, a news release from Wiggins’ office stated.
