The Secret Amazon.Com Discount Code

For Those With Short Attention Spans

If you have absolutely NO interest whatsoever in HOW this “trick” works, simply scroll down to the very bottom of this page. You will find a list of hyperlinks that contain up-to-the-minute listings of products on amazon.com that are discounted by 90% or more. For those of you who want to understand how the Secret Amazon.Com Discount Code really works, please read on…

Just The Facts

First of all, I want to be perfectly clear as to what this page is about, and just as importantly, what this page NOT about. This page does NOT contain any tips on how to “hack” amazon.com, get merchandise from them for free or disclose anything that Amazon.Com themselves is trying to hide from you. There is absolutely nothing on this page that is illegal, unethical or even immoral. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Amazon.com eventually automates the inclusion of this code in their own website. It’s truly a win-win situation for all parties involved, so far as I can tell.

Now that we have THAT out of the way, what this article WILL show you is how to use a little-known search method in order to find huge discounts from amazon.com and amazon.com merchant partners. It is not 100% foolproof, but it never fails to finds bargains that you never would have seen otherwise.

The Code

The Secret Amazon.com Discount Code does not refer to a coupon code that you enter during the checkout process. Rather, it refers to a string of HTML code that you will enter when searching for products discounted by 90% or more on Amazon. It’s quite likely that you will find a number of products during your first search at savings that look too good to be true. Sometimes, they are. I’ll explain that later on.

Credit Where Credit is Due

I’ll be the first to admit that I had nothing to do with discovering this “secret” code. To be honest, I don’t really know who was the first one to figure this out. I read about it on a blog called Mike’s Money Making Mission. Where the author originally found this info, I have no idea. It is simple enough that just about anyone could have figured it out without much effort though. It is so simple that I’m surprised that everyone isn’t using it already.

What Is The Code?

First, there is no single code. It is actually a combination of HTML search strings that can be combined to search for discounts on amazon.com for a variety of products. You will enter these codes into your browser’s address bar, just as you would any other URL. Instead of typing something like “http://www.amazon.com” you will be entering something that looks like “http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/?node=377110011&pct-off=90-99″ though. If this seems like a lot of work, don’t worry. You won’t need to type any of this by hand unless you really want to. I will supply you with all of the links you will need at the end of this article. You can simply bookmark them, or come back to this page any time you wish to look-up another code.

Putting It All Together

Every URL we are going to enter will start out with “http://www.amazon.com” . The only exception is if you live outside of the United States. In that case, substitute “amazon.com” with whatever the main domain name for Amazon is in your country. For example, in England each code would start off with “http://www.amazon.co.uk”. In Canada, it would start with http://www.amazon.ca”. So, if you are visiting us from overseas, just keep this fact in mind.

Below is the “raw” code itself. In order to customize each search, you will simply need to substitute “XXXXX” in the URL for one of Amazon.Com’s category codes, which we will list below.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/?node=XXXXXX&pct-off=90-99

Below is a full listing of Amazon.Com codes by category:

Audio & Television = 1065836
Beauty Products = 3760911
Books = 283155
Camera & Photo = 502394
Computers & PC Hardware = 541966
Computer Software = 229534
Cycling = 3403201
Electronics = 172282
Furniture & Decor = 1057794
Grocery = 16310101
Home Appliances = 361395011
Jewelry = 3367581
Music = 5174
Sports & Outdoors = 3375251
Toys & Games = 165793011
Watches = 377110011

A category needs to be part of each Amazon.com search string. So, if you wanted to search for all Groceries on Amazon.com that are discounted 90% or more, you would enter the URL as:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/?node=16310101&pct-off=90-99

For those of you who are only interested in searching throgh Amazon.com’s various categories for 90%+ discounts, just use the method explained above or use the links we give you at the very bottom of this page. That’s it! Happy bargain hunting!!! If you would like to learn how you can save even MORE money at Amazon.com by using The Secret Amazon.Com Discount Code, keep reading. It will be worth your time, I promise!

When Is A Bargain NOT A Bargain?

Once you start using The Secret Amazon.Com Discount Code, you will quickly find a number of offers that seem just too good to be true. Some of them are. Let me explain. Amazon.com does not actually sell all of the merchandise that shows-up during these searches. Many of these listings belong to third-party merchants that participate in Amazon.com’s marketing and fulfillment program. These companies are also known as Z-Shops. They set their own rates not only for merchandise, but for shipping and handling charges as well. As a rule, Amazon.com itself almost always offers lower shipping rates than Z-Shops, which sell both new and used merchandise. A number of Z-Shop merchants resort to using the same kind of trickery in their marketing practices as are used on eBay. A product may be adverised as costing as little as one cent, but  the shipping charges could total $15 or more! Suffice to say, we urge you to read the terms and conditions of these Z-Shop sellers before placing any orders. If you want to stick to “the real deal”, and only buy products directly from Amazon.com, you can often sort listings out on the left hand side of the page under the heading “Seller” (choose Amazon.com as the only seller, if the option exists). This way, you will be assured of paying little or no shipping charges on your order. Keep reading in order to find out how to get free shipping on EVERY order you place with Amazon.com.

Update: Since I first started using this code, I’ve noticed that some Z-Shops (also called Amazon Marketplace Shops) have begun taken advantage of it and started over-hyping the percentage of their own discounts, to make them seem like better deals than they really are. Never order from these merchants! Due to their abuse, I’ve found that searching for more reasonable discount percentages often leads to finding bargains easier. So, below I have also listed links to search for discounts from 76% to 89% and 50% to 75%. The discounts may be lower, but you are much less likely to run into sham discounts from third-party merchants using this search method.

How To Get Free Shipping On Every Order - With NO Minimum!

If you order from Amazon.Com quite frequently (once a month, or more) it really is worth it to sign-up for Amazon Prime. What is Amazon Prime? Quite simply, it is a special “club” set-up by Amazon.Com that lets you get all of your shipping and handling free for the entire year, just by paying a $79 yearly fee. This fee has been creeping up since it’s inception. It started off at $70 a year, then changed to $75 and currently is $79. We suggest that you take advantage of this offer before Amazon.Com decides to raise the price yet again.

What do you get with your Amazon Prime membership? In a nutshell, here’s what you get for your $79.

* Free Two-Day Shipping on more than one million in-stock items sold by Amazon.com.
* Upgrades to One-Day (Overnight) Shipping for just $3.99 per item.
* Two-Day and One-Day shipping usually apply across business days. Prime also offers special weekend and other shipping options for qualifying merchandise
* Free Standard Shipping for eligible items shipped to P.O. boxes in the continental United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories, possessions and protectorates) and APO/FPO addresses with U.S. zip codes.

Simple Shopping

* No minimum purchases required.
* Members-only 1-Click buttons on product pages.
* No need to think about shipping charges when you order.

Convenient Sharing

* Shared benefits with up to four family members living in the same household.

So, What’s the Catch?

From what I can tell… none. This is one of those offers that is just poorly publicized and happens to be a great deal for those people who are frequent online shoppers. With free two-day delivery, it even becomes practical to do a good deal of shopping for groceries online. For certain types of foods and household goods, you can actually get better prices at Amazon.Com than you can at Costco, Wal-Mart or many discount grocery outlet stores. Even nicer is the fact that everything gets delivered right to your doorstep. So, you save the time and effort of wandering around a huge warehouse and lugging the contents out to your car, plus you save gas money. Even if the price of the products was equal, you would still come out ahead.

I’ve found that the best deals available on groceries and household items that you would generally buy at the grocery store are ones that fall into the same sort of category. They are usually items that cost more per ounce than average and do not spoil easily. These are items for which Amazon.Com can make the largest profit, and still give you the best discounts. Some items that it pays to check into are: artificial sweeteners, cookies and candies, powdered juices, coffee, tea, nutrition bars, powdered protein mixes, chips and closeout items.

If you shop in the Amazon Grocery section, you can often save an additional 15% by using the Subscribe and Save feature. This lets you set a time schedule to automatically re-order groceries and other household items that you use regularly. You will save 15% on EVERY order of that product, and you will still get free shipping.

In Conclusion…

Amazon.Com has some unbelievably great deals, if you know where to find them. They aren’t too good to be true. Just too good to last very long. I hope you enjoyed this article. Thanks for reading.
