I began my career in radio and electronics. I started out repairing radios, mostly early AM radios, shortwave and ham transcievers. I obtained my amateur radio license (KB6VWL) in 1988, and have since talked to thousands of people all over the world.

I began building and repairing computers around that time and got into designing and building interactive voicemail (IVR) systems, which bridged an information service gap for those who didn’t own computers at the time.
