A very mangled looking Crown Victoria was sighted recently on Wildwood Avenue in Rio Dell. Not in front of the Rio Dell Volunteer Fire Department anymore, the vehicle was removed to a local scrap metal yard for processing.

Calfire, Carlotta and Bridgeville fire departments and Fortuna Ambulance were on hand to aid a man trapped in his overturned jeep. According to Calfire, the unidentified man became trapped when his jeep overturned on his property on Redwood House Road in Fortuna on Sunday evening.
