AG says it can’t help grand jury with Smith
The California Attorney General’s Office says it can’t give legal opinions to local grand juries and therefore will not be weighing in on the controversy over how to collect some $3,000 from Supervisor Kendall Smith, money she was overpaid in travel expenses and which she refuses to repay the county.
