Armed Robber Hits Cloney’s Pharmacy In Eureka
The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred this afternoon at a Eureka business. At about 1:15 an employee at Cloney’s Pharmacy on Harrison Avenue reported that a man had brandished a handgun and demanded the narcotic OxyContin. The employee complied and the suspect fled from the business. He was last seen leaving the business southbound on Harrison Avenue on foot.
The suspect is described as a white male adult, about 5’8” tall with an average build, dishwater blond hair, and a younger sounding voice, according to the victim. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, and a blue and white striped baseball hat over the hood. He was wearing a dark tee shirt or bandana over his face.
Although there have been a recent string of robberies, it is premature to link today’s robbery to the previous crimes. No injuries were reported. The case is still under investigation.
